AcnEase
AcnEase is another all-natural pill for the treatment and cure of acne. According to its manufacturers, its formula is derived from Traditional Chinese Theory.
A key ingredient in the patent blend of AcnEase is Herba Houttuyniae, which is sometimes also known as ‘Lizardtail’ or ‘Heartleaf’. Some evidence is available to link this ingredient to acne treatment. When the anti-microbial effects of certain plants having medicinal properties were tested against the bacteria which causes acne (Propionibacterium acnes), it was found that Heartleaf was required in much higher doses in order to inhibit and destroy the acne-inducing bacteria.
Another ingredient of AcnEase is Fructus Gardeniae. This ingredient has been in the news due to its potential for treating diabetes. However, the effectiveness of Fructus Gardeniae in combating acne has not been studied in detail. There has also been speculation that Insulin and Insulin-like Growth Factor can have a causal relation to acne.
It also contains scierotium, balsam pear, dandelion and mustard leaf. Many of these ingredients have been used in diabetes-related treatments and cures for digestive problems. But again, there has been no detailed study or conclusive research to support the theory that these ingredients provide particular resistance to acne. Dandelion is the only ingredient which has shown consistent positive effect in treating acne.
AcnEase manufacturers and marketers do claim to have conducted a study regarding the effectiveness of this treatment, but nothing in the nature of an objective study has been carried out. Furthermore, AcnEase is expensive and its treatment can be matched and even surpassed by cheaper alternatives.
